For our honeymoon we flew to Isle Royale National
Park in Lake Superior. The flight takes 30 minutes and is quite an experience. |
While Paul sat in the co-pilot's seat I was relegated to the rear, but quite happily as the picture shows.

As we approached we could see the buildings of Rock
Harbor Lodge on the island. |
On arrival we took a short hike and this is a sample
of the gorgeous scenery we enjoyed all week. |

Wouldn't you know it......a grasshopper followed us

One day we canoed to the east as far as we dared
without going into the open waters of Lake Superior. We stopped here for
a brief rest. |

Canoeing can be tiring, and it makes one hungry, so we packed a lunch to enjoy. | Paul says the view from the rear is best, but I suspect
that while I'm paddling he's not. |

On our last day's canoe trip we propped the camera
on a large rock and were able to record the day for posterity. |
We like to call her the "resident moose" because she was so tame that any picture takers didn't bother her. | ||||||
